Part of my job as a photographer isn’t just to provide beautiful images of you and your loved ones, it’s to help you design the final end result and product. This takes in to consideration several factors. I love to remind my clients to think of the four W’s!
When- What time of year? Spring, Fall, Summer or Winter?
Where- What’s the location of the shoot? ( Think about the style of your family and self, are you more athletic? Outdoors? Peaceful park, books?)
What time- What time is the photo shoot? ( the best time for lighting is typically early in the morning and later in the evening, Sunrise and sunset)
What to wear- Is this a formal shoot or more casual? Is there a theme?
Once you have the four W’s figured out then you want to think about what you will be doing with your images.
Use them as holiday cards?
Print them and display them in a particular room in your home?
Hand out as gifts to family?
social media and marketing images for a business?
One this has been decided on then you will want to think about things like:
Which holiday will you be sending the images as cards?
What is the style and decor of the room you will display the images?
What vibe do you want to portray through the photo’s as a family, business etc?
Last but not least, what are your absolute dream images?! Share this with your photographer, find examples if you can of ideas that you are looking for and truly wanting. This insures you are on the same page with me/your photographer so you can get the most out of your session! Following these suggestions will make sure things go smoothly and once you get access to your online gallery you are looking for the exact images that will fit your final vision and dream images!
Photo’s can be quite an investment and you want to make sure you are getting exactly what you want and it’s my goal to make sure the session is all about co-creating your ultimate vision with ease and fun!
I look forward to working with you!
Love and blessings always
